The imaging facilities available at CBORT span from bench top microscopes to systems capable of in vivo imaging.  In addition, there is extensive laboratory space for research and development purposes. Research and Development Laboratory Space

  • Optical imaging development laboratory

    CBORT has established optical laboratories that are set up with optical tables and laboratory benches dedicated to the development of diagnostic imaging consoles. In addition, the lab is equipped with an optical spectrum analyzer, oscilloscope, RF spectrum analyzer and an electronics work bench for circuit fabrication. This set up is conducive to the production of OCT microscopy systems, multimodal systems, and rotary junctions for catheter and endoscopic imaging.

  • Catheter fabrication facility

    CBORT has a dedicated facility for the fabrication of multimodal OFDI catheters. The facility contains a variety of equipment including a microscope inspection workstation, a dedicated fusion splicer, a fiber/glass processing device, polishers/griders, diamond saw, devices for stripping cladding, and a sputterer.
